Maitreya Youths Special Relationship

Dear Youths,

It has been quite some time we have not visit this blog. Hope all of you are still standing closely to one another. As I always say, our affinity of getting together to know one another in Temple is not simple. This affinity grows wider and deeper when all of us decided to assist Maitreya Buddha to save the World.

So I do hope that all of you will treasure this special relationship. I have a video clip here........... Please spare some time to think about what we (own self) can do to preserve this special relationship. We must always reflect upon ourself. We will change (our characters & attitude toward people/life) for the better when we really care & love others. This is the love we get from our Heavenly Mother (Mother Nature) and our parent. It is this unconditional love we possess that can really touch the heart of others and also make us experience an undescriptable joy within our heart.

To strengthen your understanding, I shall quote what G.Master Liu said to us when she came to DDMMS Opening. She said, "We may not be able to control/change the external factor (of our cultivation), but at least we can ensure our internal stability." She also said that, "Before daybreak, it was darkness. We must stay firm and be patient during this period of darkness, thus we can eventually see the brightness (of the daylight). If we give up ourself during this period of darkness, then we will lost the chance of seeing the day."

Hope all of us can be heart to heart with G.Master.

Grand Opening Ceremony 2010

Therefore, we have only few practices left, it is rushing though but we have to keep up with the time as "Time waits for no man." So everyone, recap our dance move as we need to practise hard now.

Our Conscience Gains for 22Nov-29Nov'09 KL Trip

1) Kelly, Rickson, Alex & Brenda :
If we have too many desires and cravings, we will become 囚犯, locked inside four walls (or more walls) and can never be a happy person.

2) Kelly :
We are all the children of Our Heavenly Mother and have an equally marvelous Holy Spirit within us. Thus we should have self-respect and also respect others.

3) Kelly :
We must have 三心二意 while teaching the children. 三心 – Determination, Compassion & Patience. 二意 – Genuine Heart & Sincerity Heart.

4) Rickson :
Once the students understand the lyric of the Nature Loving Songs, they eventually express the meaning of the songs and reveal their joyful smiles. The students become more obedient and joyful. This shows that Nature loving Songs can bring happiness & hope to people.

5) Rickson :
Whatever happened to us, we should not use methods that are harmful to us. Anything can be solved.

6) Perry :
We all beings can be united and live in harmony, then happiness & fortune will comes automatically.

7) Victor :
We must understand our own temper & bad habits and correct ourselves first, then we can understand and help/save others.

8) Victor :
One can only gain the genuine happiness when all the others are happy.

9) Victor, Alex & Rickson :
It is not easy to organize the whole trip. The PIC & helpers are really very caring and put in a lot of effort. Thus, we must be very grateful. We must be co-operative, united and obey the PIC in order to make the PIC’s jobs easier and all programs can carry on smoothly and swiftly. Simple task like taking a group photo also will not take too long and the whole trip can be more enjoyable for all.

10) Victor & Brenda :
It is really not easy to stay together with other people. We have to give & take and solve problem instead of blaming one another.

11) Brenda :
Communication is very important. Do not assume or misinterpret others to avoid misunderstandings and unnecessary arguments.

12) Kelly :
It is a good thing that people need our help (this shows that we are useful), as it is a chance for us to learn and be trained. And then we can be a better and more experience PIC.

13) Kelly :
It is vital for us to understand our own heart. Most of the time, we need to depend on the friends around us to be our mirror to point out our faults. Then we can improve ourselves more efficiently. (If we are really very good, then how can people point out our faults?)

14) Kelly :
We must always treat people with a sincere smile. It can help to make things easier and make people happier. We must posses a good magnetic field around us to attract people. We must be steady and calm when handling things, then we will influence others to stay calm too to solve any problem. And then Serious matters will become small matters, and Minor matters will become no problem at all.

The Most Well-Written Report for Dec'09 KL Trip.

Dearest Youths,

I am glad that you have gained some Truth from the recent KL Trip. It is quite difficult to decide to sponsor whose expenses, as I know some do gained a lot of Truth but just do not know how to express out. But I still have to come out with a decision, and thus after much consideration, I have chosen Kelly.

I hope I will not discourage those "not-chosen" ones. So please let me explain.... My reasons of choosing Kelly are:
- She is able to express what she has learnt in words. This is very important if we want to help/save people. We must learn to express what we understand in speech or writing. We can start with memorizing those Dao songs (which are all the Truths) and practice the Truth in our routine life.
- She has shown that she treats this report seriously by rewrite the whole report into computer and prints it out neatly. This is a good attitude towards our duty that we should all practice while doing the works in Temple.
- Like some of you, she has hand up the report on time. This shows her responsibility in doing the work assigned to her.

I hope all of you can accept my decision and for those "not-chosen" ones, please start saving money and pay me $84.20 each. I have list out and summarize all your Conscience Gains on the blog. I hope we can always remind ourselves what we have learnt. Do keep in mind; regardless how well we can write, it will be meaningless if we cannot carry out what we have learnt in our routine life.

The most important of all is the grand opening is coming soon and kelly is having her 'O' levels during this period of time. Therefore, we will try our best to help u with all our might until the grand opening is over =D so for now u dun need to worry so much about the kids and your duty =D. Working alone is difficult i know.. so i would request for the youths'energy and strength to activate our bluetooth and batteries and combine it together so that we are able to help each other especially kelly who is having her 'O' levels. At the same time, we could help delia jie jie to handle the kiddy problems so as to reduce the level of her angriness ( dunno how to spell, my bad) and clear all the difficulties with her

Positive Attitude is the key to Success

Dearest Youths,

Here is something I find it is very important and hope to share with all of you (esp now some of you are having Year-End Exam soon).

First of all, we have to understand why we do not achieve the success (good result) we desired.... It is because;

1) We have not set our goals
2) We do not knowing the reasons and purpose behind what we want
3) We have not taken the necessary actions in achieving our goals.

Some people do not want to set goals because of their fear of failure. Many of them will not admit it if you ask them, but in fact, they will put up a 'cool' look to cover their fear. They will say things like
> 'Setting goals doesn't work for me.'
> 'I don't really care about the result."
> "I am happy with whatever I will be getting."

It is this very fear that hinders them from setting high expectation of themselves or even doing their best to excel.

Students need to know that making mistakes is necessary in their learning process. Failure is unavoidable and in the pre-requite for any kind of long term success. The only people who do not make mistakes are those who either do not try or do nothing.

Many students will take action to get what they want at one time or another. However when they do not achieve their goal, they will give up. They will give themselves excuse, blame others or circumstances around them. They will complain that they do not have the resources or the atitude to succeed and then they stop trying. Such attitude will guarantee that the child will never achieve anything great in life.

Now, do high achievers have fear too? You bet, they do! In fact, they are often more afraid then others; what they are fearful of is not the fear of failure but the fear of not achieving what they want if they do not try.

Whenever they do their best and do not achieve their goals, they do not see it as a failure but see it as a learning experience and feedback for what they have done. They will then learn from their mistakes, change their strategy and approach and try again. They continue to do this until they succeed. For high achievers, they know that the only guarantee way that they will fail is when they stop trying.

So please keep in mind "There is no failure but only learning experience and
feedback."

Here is a movie clip which tell us the important of POSITIVE ATTITUDE. In this movie clip, the coach said to his team,

"Your attitude is like the aroma of your heart. If your attitude stinks, it means your heart’s not right.”

Enjoy this clip and hope you will gain something from it.

As long as we have the correct positive attitude towards our life, then we will definitely be successful. Especially, we have Maitreya Buddha as our guidance.

We Are All One Family

We always say that Human and all creatures are brothers and sisters. We are really one family originate by the same one and only Heavenly Mother. Please see the below video and feel how close human and animal can be if we really treat them with our conscience.

Treat them (all animals & creatures) with love (conscience) and they really can sense it. So.... STOP eating animal.... Human do not rely on eating meat to survive. We should eat food that is grown from the ground (provided by our Heavenly Mother). Human is the Master of all creatures, so it is our responsible to take good care of all creatures and the nature. Let's make this world a peaceful and harmony world, with the guidance of Maitreya Buddha!!

Yea! Another performance is already over today with everyone going back with a Happy face:)
We believe everyone of us woke up very early today, can be as early as 8AM in the morning? Haha. Especially for those that stay very far away from the performance venue. It is held at Jalan Besar CC just opposite Lavender MRT.

We understand that most of us are studying and working, but it is a worthy and enjoyable time for us. For those that got watch Transformers :Revenge of the Fallen, there is a quote that Optimus Prime said, "No Sacrifice, No victory" :) Haha so it applies to us too. No Sacrifice, no gain, no experience. So I, on behalf of DADE thank the youths for the time they had spent for the practices every Friday and Saturday. 3 Cheers for yourself:)

Now it is the time for all of you to put more concentration in your studies but have to relax yourselves. Don't give yourself too much stress. All the best for those that are having 'N' and 'O' levels this year end.:) Study Hard! See you every Saturday:)

Hello all youths,

Yes! We finally did our part in the performance with great effort and time. We have finally complete our main responsibility on 20th June by expressing our gratitude and love towards all parents that are seated in the threatre. It is a happy occasion and we combined with Xing Guang youths to sing out our foremost love and care on this day.

Everyone were greatly dressed up and prepared for the one and only moments on stage. So I hereby thank all of our youths for their precious time spent and sacrifices made to make this event a success. Overall we are together as a team going forward to make the world a peaceful and safety environment. Your effort are greatly appreciated by everyone:)

We hope that we can again, work together with Xing Guang temple to make Singapore a happier place to be in. Provided that we can 100% commit to the practises. Because we want to do a complete job:) Haha!

Once again, let give ourselves alot of cheers! LOL! 加油!

In the month of March, Temple has the following youth/child's birthday(Clara, Howard, Adeline), and the following adults's birthday (XiuYin Jie, XL jie, Grace & our dearest MQJ).
I heard that on 14/3/09,while we (children & youths) are dancing hard at Lor.7, the adults have a small celebration for XYJ & XLJ.... Heard that they have Durian Cake lor... sob... how can they neglected us...

Ha.... Just joking la... We are very understanding ones... We know the timing of youths/children and adult gathering at Temple is different...... So actually, we also have a small birthday celebration for Clara on 28/3/09 afternoon......Ha...... And Thanks ML for buying the delicious CHOCOLATE Cake for us.... ** Howard & Adeline, its a pity u2 are not coming Temple nowadays.... we miss u2..

May I take this opportunity to inform all that from Apr'09, regardless children/youths/adults, Temple will celebrate birthday once a month. Maybe you have seen this video clip before, but I shall still put it onto our Youth Blog because I think it can be a reminder to us. To remind us (Maitreya Youth) that how urgent and serious is our mission of saving this world. If you can really understand and sincerely want to assist Maitreya Buddha, then we must really work much harder and strive our best now. Times will not wait for us. How to be an Effective Student

I know all of you have been very busy with school. So here are some tips for you to be a more efficient student. Hope all of you can benefit from it..... Cheers!!

Qualities of an Effective Student
- Is organized
- Has a positive attitude
- Studies at regular time
- Studies at suitable place
- Set goals and has a study timetable
- Ask for help when it is needed
- Take and make quality notes when study
- Maintains an interest in studies
- Has a healthy diet, exercise and keep fit
- Revises work regularly
- Settles quickly to work
- Devotes sufficient time to study
- Keeps things in perspective
- Maintains a level of motivation
- Set clear deadlines
- Keep away from disturbance and distraction while studying, e.g. turn off the TV, switch off the mobile phone
- Give attention to the advice given by the teachers and tutors
- Plan the study schedule so that things aren't left to the last minute
- Has a strong desire and determination to succeed

With a correct attitude towards studies, I am sure all of you will also do well in your conscience cultivation. Just a gentle reminder, you (Maitreya Youth) still have an additional mission in life (change the world to a Heavenly World). Jia You ok?!!

The Real Life Stories of Ma Li and Zhai Xiaowei - the young woman and man who have performed in the above video

The girl (Ma Li) was a beautiful and promising professional ballerina when she lost her right arm in a car accident in 1996. She was only 19 at that time. Her handsome boy friend walked away from her. She tried to kill herself only to be saved by her parents. Her love for her parents gave her the strength to live.

She learned how to live her life independently and one day someone asked her to coach a Children dancing group.

From that point on, she realized she could not forget dancing. She still loved ballet. She wanted to dance again. So she started to do some of her old routines. But by her losing an arm, she had also lost her sense of balance. It took a while before she could even making simple turns and spins without falling. Eventually she got it.

Five years later in 2001, she was invited to compete at the 5th national special performing art competition for handicaps and won the gold medal. That success gave her the hope to return to her beloved stage.

In 2002, a handsome 20-year-old young man, Li Tao madly fell in love with her. She ran a way from him for fear of being hurt again. After she disappeared in Beijing, Tao searched her up and down despite his parents' strong objection and ridicule. He finally found her dancing in a bar. They have never been separated since.

They were very broke when SARS was spreading because all theaters were closed. In 2004, he got a license to be her legitimate agent and was trying to help her develop a unique performance. In a cold snowy night, when the two huddled in an underpass to wait for the sunrise in order to catch a bus after a long day at a movie shooting site working as extras, she suddenly had the urge to dance in the snow with him.

She had used her dance to tell him her story so many times before and this time, after their "dance" ended, he suddenly realized that THIS should be her unique performance.

In September 2005, Ma Li came to know of a 21-year-old young man, Zhai Xiaowei who had lost a leg in an accident. He climbed on a tractor when he was 4 years old and fell off it and lost his left leg.

At the point when the doctor told him that his leg will have to be amputated, Zhai Xiaowei's dad asked his young son, "The doctor will have to amputate your leg. Are you afraid?"

Young innocent Zhai Xiaowei couldn't comprehend what would be so different so he said to his dad: "No, I am not afraid."

His dad then said, "You are going to face many challenges and difficulties in life, are you afraid?"

The boy asked, "What are 'challenges and difficulties?' Do they taste good?"

His dad laughed with tears, "Yes, they're like your favorite candies. You just need to eat them one piece at a time!" Then his dad ran out of the room in tears.

When Ma Li first met came to meet Zhai Xiaowei, he was being trained to be a cyclist for the national special Olympics. He had tried high-jump, long-jump, diving, swimming, and just settled on cycling. He had never danced before.

Ma Li persuaded Zhai Xiaowei to dance with her. As he had never danced and suddenly he was being asked to dance with one leg. He turned her down.

But she didn give up. He finally agreed with some reluctance.

He initially didn't understand how he could "dance," so Ma Li invited him to see her performing in dance title with another male actor. The title of the dance was "Hand-in-hand". Zhai Xiaowei felt that he saw a perfect soul dancing on the stage and agreed to give it a try.

Ma Li and Li Tao (Ma Li's boy friend) treated Zhai Xiaowei like their younger brother and they stayed under the same roof during the intensive training and practice that were more than one year. One would not be able to imagine the kind of challenges and difficulties they faced. Zhai Xiao Wei had no dancing background and Ma Li is a perfectionist.

She started to teach him Dancing 101. Their dance partnership broke up a few times because Zhai Xiao Wei had no concept of using muscle control with his body, and a few other basic things about dancing. When Ma Li became frustrated and lose patience with him, he would walk out.

Eventually they came back together and started training, hiring a choreographer to design routines for them.

All they did was to train and to practice from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. day-in and day-out until the three of them ran out of money. Their future looked very gloomy until early 2007 when Ma Li and Zhai Xianwei decided to participate in the 4th CCTV National Dance Competition in China.

And the rest is history.

In April 2007, they were one of the finalists among 7000 competitors in the dance competition. It is the first time a handicapped couple ever entered the competition. Ma Li and Zhai Xiaowei won the Silver medal with the 99.17 high score and not to mention the highest audience popular votes. They became an instant national hit. The end result was beyond their wildest dreams.

In the above video you will see them dance beautifully, and legitimately beat others in the competition!

The dance title is "Hand-in-hand" which in fact tells the life stories of both Ma Li and Zhai Xiaowei

Their performance has brought tears to many audience, including myself. It was just so touching and motivating.

Dearest Maitreya Youths,

School has started and I hope you all have not been loaded with too much works already…. Well, I have heard that some of you have already set goal to strive for better results in this coming year 2009, which is really good….. However, as I also rely on you all very much to help in Temple, so please promise to continue being active in Temple activities ok?!!

I do hope deep in your heart, you really know that it is really precious and honored to be a Maitreya Youths (and for the time being, there are not many really outstanding Maitreya Youth in the world yet…). Now the time has reach the 21st century, regardless we are aware or not, Maitreya Buddha’s Great Wish of changing the world to a Maitreya’s World (Merciful World) is going to happen before our very eye soon. All the Buddhas and Saints are involved in this great mission, and we are lucky to know that we are also involved. So with the guidance of Maitreya Buddha (as we continue to stay active in Temple activities and frequent prayers), lets make sure that everyone of us (A,K,S,B,V,P,R,A,A,W) will be among those most outstanding Maiterya Youths in the near future. Cheers!!

May I take this opportunity to share my thoughts with you here…. I happened to watch the School SupperStar last Sunday (4th Jan)… I was so impressed by nowadays youths. They are really very creative, energetic and daring in pursuing their dreams. They are so quick-witted and fast in adapting to changes… I guessed we Maitreya Youths must also have that kind of spirit. I believed that all of you have the potential and I sincerely hope you all can make use of your potential in doing Temple works and assist Maitreya Buddha to propagate the Culture of the 21st Century, the Culture of Mercy, the Culture of Loving Nature & Reveal Human Beauty.

Maitreya Youths, lets express more of our care and love to all people, all living creatures and the environment. We can definitely make this world a more peaceful and joyful one, because we are not alone. There are still many youths all over the world like us, many Buddhas & Saints waiting to support us, and our most merciful Maitreya Buddha is always guiding us. So Let’s make it happen, with one heart…….. ok?!! Cheers!!

Dear DDMMS Youths,

It has been a long time that we update this blog. Hey…. Now is the School Holidays… But it seems that we have become even busier…. And yet our DDMMS Event Organizer (Aerrick Gor) has already engaged with other Charitable Organizations to provide them our program of Maitreya Dances & Songs - 15Nov, 23NOv, 17Dec, 20Dec & 21Dec..... Erm……. So….. Let’s do our best …… ok?

Actually, do you all knows that we have been saying that we wana help Maitreya Buddha to change this world to a better one (where there is no disasters, conflicts, miseries, fear, insecurity, wars and sufferings)…….. and now with our hard work (practicing the Maitreya Dance & Songs) and the miracle power of Maittreya, we are eventually spreading the gospel of Maitreya (To Love Oneself, Nature & all Lives, To Respect Oneself, Nature & all Lives and To Glorify Oneself, Nature & all Lives) to the World and all people.. In another word, we are really putting our words into actions and we are about to carry out our Mission….

Here are 3 reasons which i hope to share with all of you about - why we must definitely join Temple activities?

HOPE – give hope to those “less fortunate” people, make them believe that things will change, and there are people who CARE about them. We are here to make difference to people’s life. To touch people’s life with our LIANG XIN.

LOVE – Because we love all people & lives. We should thank GOD for all the love and blessing HE gives me and it is just fair enough if we give back some of God’s Love to the “needy”. So lets share with all people our UNCONDITIONAL LOVE…

FUN – Maitreya Dance & Songs are so FUN. We are maintaining a healthy body and propagating Maitreya Gospel (the meaningful song lyrics) at the same time. This is certainly the most fun way of cultivation.

So, let us all continue our hard work and strive for it ok?!! Cheers!!

Hi all youth!! Finally we finished one of our events.
Today was a long day but of course i think we all
did enjoyed sitting there and watch the whole
programme?? Although it's weird that we ourselves
did not get involve in the performance.

Now after this event, we got to start preparing for
the upcoming performances.

The dates are:

-30nov
-6dec
-14dec
-17dec

Due to the lack of number of ppl, we would only be
dancing the the songs that we danced in m'sia. Ok?
And of course there would surely be a change in the
formation so be prepared to know ur new position!!

Need us to help to perform dance at Bugis / Raffles Place Mrt, at 7-8pm. Some part of our dance may need to alter as the place of performance may not be very big.

> 21st December’08 - Da De Temple Christmas Celebration

Feedbacks of Dance Contest
1) After watching the CD of the practice and performance (in the afternoon at Temple), all are quite satisfied with their performance. To our “surprise”, we dance more union on the performance day than during practice. However, we noticed that some dancers are a bit wear out after the 1st dance, and thus there are lesser smiling faces in the 2nd dance.

2) We feel that our dance actions are very energetic and nice. We did not manage to get the judges' appraisal may due to the fact that we still do not know what the judges are want as Kuai Le Cao.

3) Delia hopes that all dancers (regardless he/she is familiar with the dance steps or not) can be presence at all practice. Thus, our dance can have more formations, or can have different section of dancers dancing different actions at certain part of the dance.

4) We hope to continue to learn from Teacher YiXiang. As Teacher YiXiang is a very busy man and he did not charge us money, we must try to accommodate with his available time and most important of all, we must obey strictly to the Studio’s Rules & Regulations.

5) On 14/9/08 around 3pm, Delia will be visiting Teacher YiXiang at Kallang PA to give him our Jiang Zhuang as a gesture of our appreciation and also hope that he can remember us as Xing Kong Youth Dance Group. We shall discuss with the Teacher our future dance practice timing. We agreed that Teacher YiXiang is a very outstanding Dance Teacher, as he not only teaches us to dance, he also teaches us to set up our own dance committee and show us moral values by examples. We hope that one day we are able to bring him to our Temple to receive Maitreya's Way. Thus, we must convince and touch Teacher by our hard work and sincerity.

Dance Committee Duties
The following are the feedbacks and self-regard of the individual duties;

> Delia - Overall in-charge
Feel so helpless when all dancers suddenly slack down just before the performance.

> April & Rickson - Secretary
Both had done their part and showing improvement. To prevent miscommunication, Delia hoped that all can replied a “ok, noted” when received Rick’s sms of reminder of practices.

> Kelly - Creative Director
Delia praised that Kelly had done well in her role and was at ease while confirming our dance position during the rehearsal. Kelly felt that this year she somehow got stress out easily. She hoped to get someone to replace her duty, but nobody volunteer. Thus, she will continue with this post.

> Darren & Alex - Treasurer
It was a pity that Darren cannot turn up due to his studies. Hopefully he can be more involved in future.

> Aaron - Medic
He was more concern of external injuries, and neglected the sick ones. He must learn to prepare the First Aid Box himself and include some common Flu tablet, Panadols and Medicated oil in future.

> Perry - Refreshment
He must be more well-prepared of the food/drinks. He must learn to be more caring by asking if anyone is hungry. Grace suggested that he can prepare each dancer a small packet of various biscuits and distribute to all before the trip in future.

> Victor & WeiDe - Audio
Due to Victor in camp and WeiDe in JB, when KL HQ told us that our music was not appropriate for Kuai Le Cao, Delia had to solve the problem herself.

> SC & Brenda - Make-up
Both were still not very sure of their role. But were catching up and trying to compensate it by helping Grace during the make-up and did ensure that all performers looked nice before going on stage. They will be helping to collect back all the costumes too.

> Grace & Chris - Designer
Grace says the outfits can be better if we are not restricted by our low budget and time constraint. All agreed that White Denim Jeans look great for dancing Kuai Le Cao.

Delia hoped that all must know his/her role very well, and must keep thinking of how to improve and fulfill his/her duties. Hopefully all can come to Temple whenever Temple has activities so as to strengthen this Dance Committee. Overall we need to strengthen ourselves and not depends on the adults.

Others Matters
1) As a Maitreya Youth, we must be prepared to expose and improve in all area. We must also be good at Singing, Dancing and Acting.

2) We must have faith in Maitreya Buddha and strongly believe that through the Maitreya Dance & Kuai Le Cao, we can improve ourselves (physically and spiritually). Thus, we are able to help Maitreya Buddha to change the world to be a better palce. Through our dance, we will teach the world the purpose of life. We will change the attitude of nowadays youngsters (too cool, proud, self-centered OR stressful, pessimistic, depressive).

3) As most of the Dancers are schooling, Delia hopes that all youths can handle both Dance and Studies equally well by good time management and hardwork. Most of the time, we cannot score well in our studies because of our laziness and not putting enough effort. Self-discipline is very important, esp we want to be the World Youth’s Model (Maitreya Youth)!! We must practice the correct study attitude and be a good role model. Delia said that, as long as we study hard, Maitreya will bless us, because we are doing the works of Maitreya Buddha. There are many past evidences that Maitreya Buddha has blessed us if we are helping Temple. BUT, of course, we must not be lazy and must study hard in the first place. Therefore, in fact a real Maitreya Youths definitely will not score too lousy results in school.

4) In the end of the discussion, all have a chance to go up to speak up. However, Due to our secretary has almost used up all her energy (he...he...), only some are recorded as below….

Delia : We must understand that we may not see our own bad habits/temper. Thus, when other criticizes us, we must reflect and try to change ourselves to be a better person.

Kelly : - costume (Grace & Christina). - Not an easy job to do as Creative Director as nobody will listen to her when she is confirming some actions and in the end the people do not know what to do. - The bond within us is still very bad. - Good thing is everyone learns the dance steps quite fast.

April : - Overall the performance is ok. - If next time we want to participate in any events, maybe we have to start practicing earlier as our standard is not there yet, compared to other groups. - Hope that the event can be started earlier as if we start late, our morale will be low
and we will be tired of waiting for our turn to perform. Another thing is to change the day to Saturday, or else Sunday we need to rush back Singapore, as the next day, some students and adults need to go to the school and office.

Victor : - Need more practice and commitment. - Have to be more enthusiastic into the songs.

Rickson : - Overall the performance is ok and hope the participant will not anyhow take people bags.

SC : - Overall the performance is good.

Celebration cum Discussion after 7/9/08 Contest

It’s a rare opportunity that Delia’s Mother is not in S’pore and Nathan went to Camp, thus we can have the whole house (almost) for our gathering. The gals reached earlier, so they occupied all the bathrooms to shower first. Later, the guys take their turns to shower and follow by the adults. We have some food, champagnes and cakes while we sit in the Living Room to relax a little and watch TV. Delia felt that the Sat movie is not quite suitable for the youths, so she tried to explain whenever it is necessary throughout the movie (ha…. Making some youths a little hard to enjoy the movie)….. We off the TV when the movie ends and starts our discussion……

7th Sep'08 KL Dance Contest

Dear Maitreya Youths,

The day of KL Dance “Contest” is getting nearer….. So regardless how tired / busy we are, lets tolerant for a while more…. and give our best shot OK!! As long as we have tried our best, we will not regret later… So lets 努力再努力!! 奋斗再奋斗!!

Other than encouraging one another at this critical moment, another purpose of me posting here is…… I wana APOLOGISED TO ALL OF U…………. Please believe me that I really tried to buy our Return Coach Tickets when I went KL HQ last Tuesday (26/8/08). I asked two different Coach Company (Sri Maju & Transtar – which are both more reliable Coach Company) and each Company, I asked more than once. However, both companies refused to sell me the tickets…… They said Ticket for 7/9/08 Coach is not for sale yet, as the petrol cost is still not confirm, etc…. They said Tickets will be selling after 1/9/08….. So I called KL HQ on 1/9/08 Monday to ask them help us buy the tickets…… and when they go to buy on 2/9/08, the 6.30pm Coach is already full… Even the 7pm, 8pm ones are also full….. Gee, how could it be?? I called to S’pore Transtar Coach Company to complain and S’pore Transtar Company told me that normally tickets can be bought 2 weeks in advance. They were also puzzled why KL Transtar did not sell me on 26/8/08….. They told me I can write in my complaint to Transtar Company to ask for an explanation (which I will when I have time). So we have no choice left but to take the 8.30pm Coach and I am really very very sorry to cause all to return back S’pore so late (est 2.30am on 8/9/08)….. Please forgive me…

While you are being forgiving to me, at the same time, let’s make full use of this trip to learn from other Dance Groups. Let’s have more interaction with other youths and learn more about them. We may find out that their Dance Groups also have to face similar obstacles as we do and they are all finding solutions to overcome them. We can learn from them that how they balance the Dance Practices and their Studies. We can find out what they have sacrifices and contribute. We can find out how often they gather for practice, how they accommodate each other faults / characters, how they encourage each other, how they build up their bond, etc….. Well, maybe coming back on the 8.30pm Coach is God’s Will afterall……… heh…..

Erm…. Ok….. I think that is all I wana explain…. I will pray that we will have enough energy to work/study on 8/9/08 (Monday)….. Maitreya Buddha, please bless us all always……

Dearest Maitreya Youths,

Due to the reason that we have very limited time to gather for dance practice, thus it is natural that we will tend to treasure the limited time and practice more. This implies that we hardly have time to sit down to encourage each other or find out any difficulties individual is facing for joining this 星空Maitreya Dance Group.

The purpose of me posting here is to ensure that we all know that our 星空Maitreya Dance Group is originated from the cause that:- We believe with the Guidance of Maitreya Buddha, we can propagate Maitreya’s Culture / 大自然文化 / 慈的文化 to the world, by our dance. Through the dance, we can change ourselves and the world for the better. With the Guidance of Maitreya Buddha, we will understand the songs that we are dancing and sense the brightness & joy within the songs. We will realize that there is another mission in our life and really feel honored to be part of 星空Maitreya Dance Group.

So let’s encourage one another and hold on to each other, because we will definitely face obstacles (like - not enough time for studies/works/family, difficulties in learning the dances’ actions, frictions among group members, etc). We are the chosen ones to help Maitreya Buddha. So let’s treat all these obstacles as a kind of “training” assigned by Maitreya Buddha. A kind of “training” to enable us to be more prepared and qualified to do a more important mission in the near future.

As Kelly has mentioned, “you are not alone!!” Maitreya Buddha is always watching us and we are always together. Ok?!! Cheers!!

Hey youths!!

Come on youths, we still have got 3 weeks left to
go. So please do hang on with it!! I know is tough
that currently most of us are having exams but
do remember that we are helping Maitreya!! So if
there is any problems just voice out to us. If want
we all solve the probelms together, you are not
alone at all.

I have some words to say here. Is that I hope that
during the dance practice or be it just when teacher
is teaching dance steps everyone of us can co-operate
with teacher by not to talk. Finish listening to what
teacher want to say before you talk. This can really
save a lot of waiting time. And at the same time we
can really learn a lot from teacher.Complete learning
the 2 songs so that we can practice more. Remember
practice make perfect. Nothing comes without any
effort. So i hope that you all can achieve this and we
could also practice self discipline.

Ok. Rickson and me had come up with a group of name,
this people would have to come for the dance practice
on Thursday as we think that you all need more practice.
These people whose name i post here : Alex, April,
Aaron, Chris jie jie, Grace jie jie and Darren. It is
compulsory for 6 of you to come for the dance practice
on Thursday at 7.30 pm in temple. As for the rest
of you it is up to you whether if you want to come or not.
But i hope that you all would be able to come down to help
Rickson and myself to teach them the dance steps. Please
do not come down solely to talk as now we have to cherish
everytime we have for dance practice.

There would also be a dance practice on Friday also
at the same time 7.30pm in temple.It is compulsory
for all to go.

Hope to see the full 6 of you in temple on Thursday. Please do
not be late so that we can end it earlier and the rest you are
welcome to come but you are really down to help and not to
talk to them and then we have to drag the lesson. And also all
of us on Friday. Both at 7.30pm!!

Reminder of practice.

Hi youths,
Finally our first organised camp had ended.
This is also a experience for us that we shouldn't
do things so last minute if not we would be very
tired. Hope all of you and the children had enjoyed
the camp and of course learnt something in the
camp if not it would be meaningless to have this
camp.We had a experience fromt he first camp
so we can improve on any other camp that we would
organise again.

Please be reminded that there would be dance
practice this friday in temple at 8.00pm!!
All of you please do not be late and hopefully we
can start on time so we can reivse more.

And there is something very important too. All of you
must start revising your work now so that when the
exams come after the 观摩赛 we do not have to be
stress that we had to catch up on a lot of school work.
So hope everyone can start revising now so that workload
would not be so heavy.

I would also want to make one announcement here.
From this coming Saturday onwards all of the youths
must bring your homework to temple to do.Even if you
had no work to do you are to bring any subject to revise!!
It is compulsory if not you would have to join the lesson
that is going on and not going up to the room to relax.
Hope you all would understand why i ask you all to do so.

Hi all,
I believe that everyone of us had had a job
to do for the dance 观摩塞. So hope that
everyone can do our jobs well so that we can
make things easier for Wan Ing jie jie. Ok??

All youths please report in temple on Friday
at 7.30pm - 8.00pm. As you all know that
we need to get prepared for the children camp.
And this whole even the overall in-charge is
Perry so hope that all of you would co-operate
with him to make our very first organised camp
for children successful. And I would need to leave
temple at a earlier time on Sunday as I have to
do CIP. So do help him whenever he needs help.
Also treat this camp to upgrade ourselves and
also train our leadership skills. I hope that you all
would show the correct rules and regulations to
the children and be a GOOD role model for the
children.

Dance recapping on 4th July.

Yesterday we had one optional dance practice
for those who think that they would forget and
need to come down and learn so that they can
revise at home. Only 5 people came but it's alright
since it was an optional practice.

There would be a dance practice on 4th July,
Friday, in temple at 7.30pm. All please be punctual
on that day as it would be a recapping lesson for all
as I do not wish that on Saturday it turn out to be a
recapping lesson. I would want all of us to use Saturday
lesson to practice and practice until you can remember
the dance steps of the back part of the songs which we
learnt on Sunday. Anyway it would be a compulsory
dance practice for all. If anyone have any problems
to come down please inform me so that i can start the
lesson without waiting for you.

And the decorating of notice board would be push back to
other day as we really need the time to practice our dance.

So I hope that I would be able to see all the youth on friday
in temple at 7.30pm.Any problems please call me or message

Singing Competition...

After the competition...i see that many of you guys was happy...now the next thing is...after we bet about those kids in singapore gets first , second , or third prize have to go to KL for another singing competition....After all it was a sucess...feeling exciting about it...and...sad things happen....the master from KL said that we were underage.....den never mind...next time still can join or we can perform to other people that we dont know when there is event

This is our youth's first post.
Ok, the reasons why we have this blog is because
our Mr Perry wanted it so he created and i will be posting
updates here.
So do come here to check for updates. And for those whom
you know that they have no access of internet at home or
they do not have time to come online to check, please ask one
of them to inform you or if you know who can't visit frequently
please inform them the updates when there is.
By doing so, we can learn to be independent and this could also
save our messages!But being independent is the main point.

Ok, for now there isn't any updated news for me to post so do
check out this blog for the dates of dance practices! This is
very important as you all know that we are all now learning the
steps for the song zhan xian ren zhi mei. So please do not absent
yourself from the practices as far as possible so that you won't be
left back.

Oh yes, for this Saturday we are going to have a short practice of
what we had learn in the latest dance practice to recap our memory
before having lesson with teacher. And we could also save more time
and learn new dance steps from teacher instead of recapping what
we had learnt last Sunday. So please try to come to temple for more
